About Me

I am a young elder of Sicangu, Lakota and Ilicano,Filipina heritage.  I like to think of myself as the result of East meeting West.  My spiritual Path is that of the traditional Lakota Red Road.  I love this Path because it is totally related to the environment (including all living and sentient beings) , global humanity, as well as the myriad Universes in their entirety.

I am a mother of five, grandmother of eleven which is my favorite life role.  The work that I do is directly related to my love for them as well as the future generations of all.  I am involved in building dome homes in the Sovereign Lakota Territories of South Dakota.  The homes are built with the earth that the People live on.  As Rumi, the mystical Sufi Poet stated..."In the hands of the Wise, Earth turns to Gold".  These homes are environmentally compatible and more important to the families that live well below poverty level, they are cost effective at $20,000 per home.  The families we build for are very involved in the work so they may replicate it as the need arises.  Please see www.calearth.org for an idea of what we do.  The eco-dome or "moon cocoon" is what we are currently working on.  Having shelter is the most basic starting point of effective healing.

Living in Orange County CA, the waste I see here is sickening to me. If everyone would read about this project they could learn that we can have a house that provides our basic sheltering needs and not harm the earth. The waste in building 5,000 sq foot homes for two people to live in drives me mad! What a waste and the greed! If everyone just shared a little, look at the affect we could have. We could help so many that are less fortunate. I share this project with as many people I can. I hope it helps.
